Antwerp giants at the MAS
Since May 2012, a new exhibition has opened in the windows of the Boulevard. At both sides of the stairs, Antwerp giants greet you.
There are more than 40 giants in Antwerp. All of these huge characters have their own personalities. In fact, a giant’s life does have a fair amount in common with the lives of ordinary people. Giants are born. Their appearances change. Some of them marry, others just live together. Sometimes one will die or go missing. Above all else, however, they love celebrations among throngs of people.
Giants stand out anecdotally not only because of their life stories, but also because of their local character and their connection with many volunteers.
