50 years of migration from Morocco and Turkey
How does it feel to leave your homeland and build a completely new life in Antwerp, living, working and raising your children there? You can find out on the fifth floor of the MAS. Who knows? You may even recognise part of your own life story.
Five floors, four themes dealing with Antwerp’s link with the world.

This autumn, the MAS takes you on a multimedia journey through the Golden Horn to Istanbul, the legendary city in Turkey and a place to stir the imagination. The exhibition ISTANBUL - ANTWERP. PORT CITY TALKS. focuses on the decisive role played by the water in Istanbul’s development into the city that it is today, making use of certain points that it has in common with Antwerp.

MAS celebrates fifth anniversary with a painter from Antwerp with a global reputation
In this stunning building, the MAS tells a largely untold story about Antwerp in the world. And about the world in Antwerp. But there is more...
Are you going on a city trip to Istanbul or in transit there in the next few weeks or months? Then you have the opportunity to contribute to an exhibition in the MAS and even win a free ticket to the museum.
MAS IN JONGE HANDEN (our museums youngster crew) invites you to visit the exhibition the world in a mirror in a fun and catchy way. We organize an late night event on the second of July.
At the walls and vitrines, all texts are in Dutch only. But there are various possibilities to obtain the room texts (and even more information) in English when you visit the museum.
Eleven of the sixteen MAS museum cranes, the largest museum collection of port cranes in the world, can be found on the Scheldt quay.
