The architectural splendour of the MAS

Walking tour

What began as a contest developed into an impressive monument by the well-known Rotterdam firm Neutelings Riedijk Architecten. The MAS doesn’t just look great on the outside: it’s breathtaking inside too. The idea behind the building reflects the history and atmosphere of this waterside location. Numerous advanced techniques also went into its construction.

All the architectural details explained

A guide will take you round the MAS and tell you more about the history of the waterside location and the building. You will learn all about the different shades of red in the brick, the corrugated glass and other architectural features.

We then continue the tour with the Boulevard and the Kijkdepot, and walk through one of the exhibition rooms. The guide will be happy to give you a lot more information about the interior, the layout and the view.

By the end of the tour you will be acquainted in detail with the architectural splendour of the MAS.
